Having ovarian cancer at 14
From Lorna Finch
I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in March last year at the age of 14.
I had surgery to remove the tumour that was growing from one of my ovaries and fallopian tube. I have regular follow up appointments at the hospital though but I did not need the chemotherapy.
I have also since done really well in my GCSE exams so far and am loving life. Dealing with cancer has given me a completely different outlook on life and I intend to make the most of mine. The memories of what I have been through stick in my head but continue to make me stronger though I don't think I could have got through it without my fantastic family.
