Cancer Research UK is the largest cancer research organisation in the world, outside the USA. We are the European leader in the development of new anti-cancer drugs. We fund research on all aspects of the disease from its causes, to treatment and prevention, education and psychological support for patients.

Against Breast Cancer is a charitable organisation based in Oxford that funds breast cancer research into long-term survival. It is looking at breast cancer, effect of the cancer on patients and their response to the cancer. It is also looking at the part environmental factors play in the development of cancer and recruiting women to take part in the Diet and Lifestyle Study.

A charity set up by the cosmetics industry. Volunteer beauty therapists provide skincare and make up workshops for women undergoing cancer treatment. All guests are provided with a goodie bag worth £150-200. It has been running for 12 years and workshops are held in 40 hospitals across the UK. This is a national charity offering information and support to anyone affected by lymphoedema. They have over 3500 members, 66 local support groups, run a helpline and have a website.
